Soulful Butter Pecan Biscuit Bars
Whether for Veganuary or a resolution to make healthy snacks at home, these chewy, dunkable, salty-sweet bars are the perfect treat and SO easy to prepare!
ingredients
1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup coconut sugar
4 tbsp milk
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup plain flour
3/4 cup rolled oats
1 tbsp cornstarch
1/2 tbsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp Masala Soul Chai
3/4 cup butterscotch chips/chopped chocolate
1/2 cup pecans
2 tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp butter/butterscotch extract
pinch of flaky salt
it’s easy!
Toast pecans over medium heat until heated through/lightly browned, add maple syrup, butterscotch extract + flaky salt. set aside to cool~
Preheat oven to 350 F
Whisk melted butter and sugars until creamy, then add vanilla and milk
Fold in dry ingredients (adding the chopped chocolate and chopped pecans last)
Spread in a greased or lined 8" square pan, flatten evenly with spatula and let sit for 25 min.
Bake for 20-25 min, top with flaky salt and serve hot or cool with an scoop of vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!
