Soul Chai Apple Crisp

This crunchy, nostalgic spiced crisp makes for the perfectly textured, autumnal treat! serve w/ a scoop of vanilla ice cream for oooh’s and ahh’s~

  • 1 cup quick-cooking oats

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp original masala soul chai

  • 1 stick cubed, cold butter/9 tbsp coconut oil

it’s easy!

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F

  • for the apple filling: In an 8-inch cast-iron skillet, heat butter over medium heat. Add your apple slices, chai, brown sugar + a pinch o’ salt and cook for 7-10 minutes until the apples have softened

  • for your topping: In a bowl, toss the oats with the flour, soul chai, brown sugar + salt

  • grate in the cold butter and mix until the texture is crumbly. Sprinkle over your juicy apple mixture & bake for about an hour, until the top is a nice golden brown.

  • Let cool & serve with a scoop of your favorite vanilla ice cream :-)
